IMI Precision Engineering Maintenance Technician IV in Littleton, Colorado



The Maintenance Employee will be ensuring the operational of machinery and mechanical equipment. Responsible for monitoring materials, supplies, resolve repair problems, participate in the company quality control process, and complete preventative maintenance requirements.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Maintain, design, and alter circuitry for manufacturing and facilities equipment to ensure optimal operations, meeting all OSHA safety requirements.

  2. Work with programmable Logic Controllers; must understand instruction and editing documentation.

  3. Troubleshoot and repair complicated electrical and mechanical problems on manufacturing and facilities equipment.

  4. Set-up, develop, and maintain Computerized Maintenance Management System for optimal use in preventing downtime and managing work order history.

  5. Ability to weld in all positions ferrous, and non-ferrous metals.

  6. Ability to operate manual mills and lathes to produce required parts for repair or fabrication.

  7. Understand and work with high voltage electrical system 480/208/110 3ph and 1ph.

  8. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdown on machine equipment to include diagnosing problems, finding solutions and making the repairs with minimal downtime utilizing electrical and mechanical repairs.

  9. Order parts for repair and develop correct inventory levels for spare parts utilizing the purchasing system database.

  10. Assist in decision involving contracted services or company employees necessary to accomplish assigned tasks. Train and/or assign help to assist in the completing of the assignment.

  11. Estimate project costs, including labor and materials and suggest appropriate vendor to perform the work.

  12. Select materials and parts to meet appearance and specification requirements.

  13. Train/mentor lower level employees.

  14. Design and fabrication of complicated equipment for facilities/manufacturing processes to include but not limited to welding, machining, wiring, and guarding.

Education and Experience

  1. High School degree or equivalent and of 8+ years of general work experience in building, industrial equipment, CNC machine tooling, and construction maintenance or repair

Computers and Technology

  1. Basic MS Office Suite (Word and Outlook)


  1. Forklift certified
